Weekly Classes

Eastgate Cooperative Preschool offers parent-child classes for toddlers, and STEM enrichment classes on Saturdays.

These programs were once part of Bellevue College Parent Education Program. We continue in that tradition by providing a program where parents and children grow together. Parents attend required parent education sessions during class time where they learn about child development and parenting; they are also expected to either provide snacks (for toddlers) or work in the classroom (STEM classes.)

Toddlers

The Bunnies class for ages 1 to 2 and Foxes Class for ages 2 to 3 offer engaging, developmentally appropriate activities such as art, sensory play, imaginative play, large-motor challenges, and music time. A parent or caregiver attends with the child each week. Adults have the chance to connect with other families, build supportive relationships, enjoy meaningful playtime with their children, and receive parent education focused on child development. Saturday STE(A)M

The Tinkerers Class for ages 3 to 6 and the Engineers Class for ages 5 to 8 are designed around the way children naturally learn. Each week, teachers provide activities based on a science or engineering theme, allowing children to explore and experiment at their own pace and according to their own interests. Teachers also introduce scientific ideas through books, songs, and hands-on demonstrations. Parents help in the classroom and attend monthly parent education. Learn more.
